Onde o erro acontece? Pode passar um pouco mais detalhes, assim a gente consegue ajudar melhor.

Quando eu vou na opção: Maven -> Update Project

Opa, vc pode colocar aqui seu pom.xml? Acho que tem algum caminho configurado errado.

solução!

Consegui resolver esse erro colocando a pasta na Workspace. Tinha me esquecido desse detalhe.
