Consegui corrigir o problema The superclass “javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet” was not found on the Java Build Path" adicionando a biblioteca do Tomcat:
botão direito no projeto e selecionar: Project Properties -> Java Build Path -> Add Library -> Selecionar "Server Runtime" (e Next) -> Select "Apache Tomcat" -> Finish.
