Está dando erro na seguinte linha:

LocationServices.FusedLocationApi.requestLocationUpdates(client, request, this);

Obs: a versão do Android Studio que estou usando é a 3.2.

solução!

Oi Guilherme, tudo bem?

A classe FusedLocationApi foi descontinuada nas versões mais recentes. Agora a recomendação é utilizar a classe FusedLocationProviderClient
