Abra o terminal e copie e cole os seguintes comandos:

/usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

Isso instalará o Homebrew, um gerenciador de pacotes em linha de comando semelhante ao apt-get e afins no mundo Linux. Para mais informações, visite página oficial do projeto: https://brew.sh/index_pt-br

Depois, copie e cole os comandos abaixo:

brew update && brew upgrade && brew tap homebrew/cask-versions

Depois, instale o java com:

brew cask install java

Por fim, instale o eclipse com:

brew cask install eclipse-java

P.S.: Preferencialmente diariamente, contudo ao menos 1 vez por semana, rode o comando brew update && brew upgrade para atualizar a cache do homebrew e atualizar pacotes que receberam patches.

Vamos por partes. As ações abaixo tem de ser executadas 1-a-1, na exata ordem passada, e somente passe ao passo posterior se o anterior tiver executado sem qualquer erro.

1. Execute o comando chsh -s /bin/zsh para alterar o shell default, que antigamente era o sh, agora é o zsh.

2. Depois, execute /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)", aperte Enter quando aparecer a mensagem: "Press RETURN to continue or any other key to abort".

3. Depois, execute brew update && brew upgrade && brew tap homebrew/cask

4. Instale o java com brew cask install java

5. Instale o eclipse com brew cask install eclipse-java
